An endoscope system includes an endoscope 1 that is inserted into a subject; a bending portion 2w that is provided at the endoscope 1 and is electrically driven; a control apparatus 15 that outputs a control signal for performing control to drive the bending portion 2w; and a drive cable 20 that is attachable to and detachable from the endoscope 1 and the control apparatus 15, is driven based on the control signal outputted from the control apparatus 15, and includes inside the drive cable a motor 21 for giving a drive force to the bending portion 2w via a flexible shaft 30. |
