PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a grafted polyvinyl acetal with good solvent-resistance being excellent in productivity. SOLUTION: Provided is a manufacturing method for a grafted polyvinyl acetal, wherein an ethylenic unsaturated monomer is graft-polymerized to a vinyl alcohol-based polymer in 1-25 wt.% of aqueous solution of a vinyl alcohol-based polymer, and subsequently, it is acetalized in the presence of an acid catalyst and aldehyde.
