The invention discloses an optical glass and an optical element. The optical glass comprises the following compositions: 0.1wt%-8wt% of SiO 2 , 20wt%-32wt % of B 2 O 3 , 20wt%-35wt % of La 2 O 3 , 15wt%-30wt% of Gd 2 O 3 , 1-6 wt% of Ta 2 O 5 , 1 wt%-15wt % of ZnO and 0.1wt%-2wt% of Li 2 O. An experimental result shows that the optical glass claimed in the invention is provided with a refractive index of 1.75-1.8, Abbe number of 45-52 and transformation temperature less than 610°C, and the corresponding wavelength less than 390nm when the transmittance reaches 80%, thus meeting the requirement of a modern imaging device. |
