PURPOSE: An LNG storage tank is provided to maximize resistance to the impact load transferred to a membrane by forming a buffer space between a support frame and a support panel. CONSTITUTION: An LNG storage tank comprises multiple membranes (100), shock absorbing units (200), and support panels (300). The surfaces of the membranes touch LNG, and the joint ends (100a) of the membranes are consecutively formed. The shock absorbing units are installed on the back surfaces of the membranes and absorb the impact load applied to the membranes. The support panels support the shock absorbing units and include support frames (210) and shock absorbing members (220). The support frames support the joint ends of the membranes, and the shock absorbing members support the membranes except for the joint ends. |
