PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the occurrence of a flaw in a rail head side part by moving an upper side horizontal roll or a lower side horizontal roll according to a curve of a rail to the right and the left. SOLUTION: The rail straightening device includes: a left camera and a right camera for photographing a contact part between a head top part of the rail and the upper side horizontal roll from obliquely left and right directions of obliquely upper sides for measuring an interval between a head side part of the rail and a guide part of the upper side horizontal roll by stereo measurement; a front face camera for photographing the contact part between the head top part of the rail and the upper side horizontal roll from the front of the obliquely upper side; a rail base line measuring means 30 for measuring the positional relation between the upper side horizontal roll and the rail by measuring the interval between the head side part of the rail and the guide part of the upper side horizontal roll from the photographed images; a roll movement amount calculating means 33 for calculating a movement amount of the horizontal rolls in the rotational axes direction based on the result measured by the rail base line measuring means 30; and a roll moving means 34 for moving the horizontal rolls in the rotational axes direction based on the movement amount calculated by the roll movement amount calculating means.
