PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion liquid which contains oxide particles of a lanthanoid element and has high transparency, and high stability even when preserved for a long period of time. SOLUTION: The aqueous dispersion liquid includes oxide particles of Ln (Ln is the lanthanoid element other than La and Ce). The maximum particle diameter D<SB>max</SB>of the oxide particles of Ln is≤100 nm and the pH of the aqueous dispersion liquid is 1-7. The transmittance of the visible light having 350-900 nm wavelength through the aqueous dispersion liquid is suitably≥80%. The volume-converted average particle size D<SB>50</SB>of the oxide particles of Ln is suitably 1-70 nm. The aqueous dispersion liquid is produced suitably by dispersing the oxide particles of Ln having 10-150 m<SP>2</SP>/g BET specific surface area in an aqueous medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
