PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic device which does not produce a trouble such as air leakage at the time of pickup, and a manufacturing method therefor. SOLUTION: In the magnetic device formed by combining a plurality of EP cores 1, two recesses 7, 9 are provided on a tip face of the cylindrical EP core, at positions opposite to each other in the diameter direction. When the cores are combined, gap holes 41, 43, 45, 47 are configured by the recesses 7, 9 to have positions on both side faces of the magnetic device 40.
