<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of surely preventing the positional deviation between respective images, when a color image is formed, while simplifying an apparatus configuration. <P>SOLUTION: Displacement means 92 switches each process cartridge 7 between a first state where an image can be formed and a second state where the image cannot be formed by a relative displacement with respect to each process cartridge 7. Reading means 300 has a detection surface 301 facing an endless belt 11C and reads detecting patterns 305C to 305K formed on the endless belt 11C through the detection surface 301. A shutter member 350 is provided between the endless belt 11C and the detection surface 301 and can be displaced between a closing position where the shutter member 350 covers the detection surface 301 and an opening position where the shutter member 350 uncovers the detection surface 301. An interlocking mechanism 400 displaces the shutter member 350 between the closing position and the opening position, according to the case where the reading means 300 is operated or not operated, in conjunction with the relative displacement of the displacement means 92 with respect to each process cartridge 7. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT |
