摘要 In the method for operating an interference multiple access communications system, wherein the improvement comprises the steps of employing a distributed scheduler within a Media Access Controller (MAC) for Multiuser Detection (MUD) enabled Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETS) to increase spectral efficiency by increasing spectral use and providing a way to dynamically allocate virtual channels to achieve maximum channel reuse in different network topologies and different link patterns and to ameliorate any hidden or exposed node problems.

A system for scheduling transmissions by a first node in a multiuser detector enabled mobile ad-hoc network for multiuser detection (MUD) channel reuse, the system comprising: a transceiver configured to receive a plurality of control messages including identities and transmit and receive conditions of a plurality of remote nodes; a processor configured to, based on an algorithm: determine from the received plurality of control messages a plurality of resource usage maps corresponding to the plurality of remote nodes, wherein the plurality of resource usage maps reflect a status of slot codes as one of FREE, RX, TX, and BUSY; anddetermine, based on combined information from the plurality of resource usage maps and resource availability criteria, an availability of code slots for receiving packets at a destination node; anda scheduler configured to schedule transmissions of packets from the first node to the destination node within the mobile ad-hoc network based on the determined availability of code slots for receiving packets at the destination node.
