A flashtube of the present invention includes a glass tube, an anode-side electrode disposed at one end of the glass tube, and a cathode-side electrode disposed at the other end of the glass tube. The glass tube includes a first glass tube, and second glass tubes coupled to respective ends of the first glass tube via stage joint glass tubes. Each of the stage joint glass tube has a thermal expansion coefficient between the thermal expansion coefficient of the first glass tube and that of each of the second glass tube. A ratio of the outer diameter of the anode-side electrode to the inner diameter of the glass tube is 43.5% or higher. |

a glass tube; an anode-side electrode disposed at one end of the glass tube; and a cathode-side electrode disposed at the other end of the glass tube, the glass tube including:
a first glass tube; andsecond glass tubes coupled to respective ends of the first glass tube via stage joint glass tubes, a tip of at least one of the anode-side electrode and the cathode-side electrode is disposed in a position from the stage joint glass tube to the first glass tube, wherein each of the stage joint glass tubes has a thermal expansion coefficient between a thermal expansion coefficient of the first glass tube and a thermal expansion coefficient of each of the second glass tubes, and a ratio of an outer diameter of the anode-side electrode to an inner diameter of the glass tube is 43.5% or higher. |
