A skin care composition for topical application to the human skin comprising an effective amount of umbilical cord blood serum wherein the cells have been removed so the umbilical cord serum is substantially free of whole cells, and further comprising a peptide selected from the group consisting of tyr-arg, acetyl hexapeptide-3, palmitoyl oligopeptide, palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7, and mixtures thereof.
