PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a semiconductor light-emitting element which has excellent reliability because the whole uniformly emits light to achieve high luminous efficiency and which achieves low manufacturing cost and has high performance.SOLUTION: A light-emitting element comprises: a semiconductor structure layer 11 composed of an AlGaInP-based semiconductor in which a first conductivity type first semiconductor layer, an active layer and a second conductivity type second semiconductor layer are laminated in this order; a first electrode 37 formed on the first semiconductor layer; and a second electrode formed on the second semiconductor layer. The first electrode is formed in a region other than a region opposite to a region where the second electrode is formed across the semiconductor structure layer. The second electrode includes power supply wiring 33 which forms Schottky junction with the second semiconductor layer and a wiring electrode 31 which extends from the power supply wiring and forms ohmic junction with the second semiconductor layer. The light-emitting element comprises a counter electrode 39 which forms Schottky junction with the first semiconductor layer on the first semiconductor layer in a region opposite to a region where the power supply wiring is formed, across the semiconductor structure layer. |
