PURPOSE: A location based intelligent network service providing method and a mobile communication terminal thereof are provided to offer the information of a buddy who is able to communicate in a discount or free of charge by a subscriber subscribed to the location based intelligent network service to the subscriber. CONSTITUTION: A service registration module(241) transmits a discount service registration request message to an intelligent network apparatus. The service registration module registers discount area information in the intelligent network apparatus. A buddy management module(242) receives the list of other mobile communication terminals located in the same discount area from the intelligent network apparatus. The buddy management module compares the address book list of a storage unit and the received mobile communication terminal list. The buddy management module indicates overlapped address book information as communication service discountable buddy information to an indicating unit.
