PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a vacuum packaging machine having a small power loss is required, concerning a vacuum packaging machine in which an operator sets packaging bags individually in the vacuum packaging machine to perform a packaging work.SOLUTION: In a vacuum packaging machine including a vacuum chamber, and equipped with a vacuum pump for sucking the air in the vacuum chamber, packaging bags containing packaged objects are set individually in the vacuum chamber, and then vacuum-packaged discontinuously by sucking the air in the vacuum chamber. In a vacuum packaging step requiring suction of the air in the vacuum chamber, the capacity of the vacuum pump is set at high output, and in a step not requiring suction of the air in the vacuum chamber, the capacity is set at low output, namely, the output of the vacuum pump is synchronized corresponding to each packaging step of the vacuum packaging. |
