<p>The invention relates to a method and an array for cleaning, pretreating and/or compounding polymer materials, wherein the polymer materials to be treated are heated to a temperature below the melting temperature of the polymer material in at least one receptacle, cutter-compacter or reactor (1) while being continually mixed or agitated and optionally comminuted, while continually preserving the pourability or lumpiness, and are thereby at the same time crystallized, dried and/or cleaned or detoxified. According to the invention, the hot polymer materials are subsequently cooled, wherein the thermal energy given off or released during cooling is reintroduced or returned to the process at another, particularly upstream, point.</p> |
