摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of an automatic guided vehicle, which is capable of easily acquiring and setting inter-mark distances which should be preliminarily stored, by only running the automatic guided vehicle and is capable of quickly recognizing abnormality during normal running even when skipping marks.SOLUTION: An automatic guided vehicle 10 is run on a travel route in an initialization running mode, and a plurality of marks M arranged along the travel route 11 are sequentially read by a mark sensor to obtain inter-mark distances, and the inter-mark distances are stored as set distances, and then running in the initialization running mode is terminated. The automatic guided vehicle 10 is run on the travel route 11 in a normal running mode, and inter-mark distances recognized by reading marks with the mark sensor are obtained as actually measured distances, and the set distances are collated with the actually measured distances, and it is determined whether abnormality in mark reading occurs or not on the basis of the collation result between the set distances and the actually measured distances, and the automatic guided vehicle 10 is stopped if abnormality in mark reading occurs.
