PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a press machine in which an inertial distance of a table at the time of a sudden stop is short.SOLUTION: A press machine comprises: a nut member (6) which is rotatably supported on a body part (HT) while being prohibited from movement of an axis line (CL1) direction; a screw shaft (10) screwed with the nut member (6); a first driving system (Z6) for rotating the nut member (6); a second driving system (Z10) for rotating the screw shaft (10); a control part (19a) for controlling motions of the first driving system (Z6) and the second driving system (Z10); an upper table (17) which is connected to a lower end side of te screw shaft (10); and a lower table (2) which is disposed on a lower side with respect to the upper table (17). When the upper table (17) is lowered, the control part (19a) so controls that the second driving system (Z10) rotates the screw shaft (10) in a direction along which the screw shaft (10) is screw-fed to a lower side with respect to the nut member (6), and at the same time, the first driving system (Z6) rotates the nut member (6) in a direction along which the screw shaft (10) is screw-fed to an upper side with respect to the nut member (6). |
