PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily form an oblong light distribution pattern.SOLUTION: A vehicle lighting appliance 1 is a direct projection lighting appliance which comprises an LED 2, and a projection lens 3 arranged in front of the LED 2 and radiating light emitted from the LED 2 frontward. In the projection lens 3, a cross section which passes through the LED 2 and progresses along the vertical direction is formed into a convex lens shape having a focus point positioned in the vicinity of the LED 2, and also formed into such a shape that is obtained by rotating the cross section shape around a center axis which passes through the LED 2 and progresses along the vertical direction. |
