PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front underrun protector which reduces a formation cost of a material covering a protector body, and is rich in design flexibility.SOLUTION: A front underrun protector 1 which is connected to a front end portion of a vehicle body skeleton portion such as a pair of side members 6 that are arranged along both sides in a vehicle width direction of an automobile includes: a protector body 2 that extends in the vehicle width direction and has an outline substantially quadrangular shape; and a covering material 3 covering the surface of a vehicle front face portion 2a, and continuous vehicle body upper and lower surface portions 2b and 2c on the vehicle front face portion 2a in the protector body 2. The covering material 3 is formed by forming a plate material formed of a synthetic resin into a U-shaped cross section, and thereby the vehicle front face portion 2a and the vehicle body upper and lower surface portions 2b and 2c of the protector body 2 are continuously covered. |
