<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elongated fall prevention fence that exceeds an overall length of a train, is instantly lowered or raised, and prevents fall of a passenger.SOLUTION: In a fall prevention apparatus of a platform for train vehicles, a parallelogram link mechanism 17 having four links 18, 19, and 20 joined so that the links can be swung is joined with an adjoining parallelogram link mechanism 17 via coupling links 24 and 25. A large number of pairs of parallelogram link mechanisms are joined and installed at the distal position of a platform 1. A large number of elongated fall prevention fences 6 that are joined to exceed an overall length of a train are mounted on the parallelogram link mechanisms. Thereafter, a worm gear 27 is attached to the rightmost end of the parallelogram link mechanisms 17. The parallelogram link mechanisms are swung clockwise by driving a worm decelerator 26 in order to raise the elongated fall prevention fences 6 to a height about 1 meter above the upper surface of the platform 1. Thus, passengers are hindered from riding on the train from the platform 1. After completion of embarkment and disembarkment of passengers, the worm decelerator 26 is inversely rotated in order to lower the elongated fall prevention fences 6 so as to enable passage of the passengers.</p> |
