<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and system for measuring and displaying information that makes it possible to readily understand how long a vehicle can travel per a unit amount of fuel consumed or fuel-equivalent non-fuel energy consumed.SOLUTION: A system includes an electronic control unit, engine, fuel controller, battery, battery management and control unit and display device. The system measures a total fuel-equivalent energy consumption on the basis of a constant energy conversion factor or an energy conversion efficiency loss numerical value or factor measured in real time. Further, the system measures and displays a fuel-equivalent cost for traveling a travel distance of 1 kilometer or 1 mile. The system also changes an operation of a vehicle on the basis of the measured rate or fuel-equivalent cost.</p> |
