<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the use of each virtual NIC in a manner equivalent to a normal physical NIC when an NIC partitioning function is used.SOLUTION: A network system 100 includes: a server 10 including virtual NIC control means for configuring and controlling a plurality of virtual NIC 110 on a physical port 11 in an NIC 12; and a switch 20 connected to the server 10 through a physical link 30 and including virtual port control means for configuring and controlling a plurality of virtual ports 210 on a physical port 21. The network system 100 handles as if a virtual link is configured between the virtual NIC 110 and the virtual port 210, by including an identification tag, which is uniquely set corresponding to the combination of the virtual NIC 110 and the virtual port 210, in a frame to be used to communicate between each virtual NIC 110 and each virtual port 210.</p> |
