PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an internal combustion engine having auxiliary equipment, for performing the lubrication of a joint member while maintaining the rigidity of the joint member connecting an engine side drive shaft and an auxiliary equipment drive shaft.SOLUTION: An internal combustion engine 1 having a fuel pump 12 includes: a pump housing 41 mounted on a cylinder head; a pump drive shaft (an auxiliary equipment drive shaft) 64 arranged coaxially with a cam shaft (the engine side drive shaft) 20, and a slider (a joint member) 75 for transmitting rotation of the cam shaft to the pump drive shaft while allowing the axial deviation of the cam shaft from the pump drive shaft. The cam shaft has a cam shaft oil path 87 opened to an end slide-contacting with the joint member, and the pump drive shaft has a pump drive shaft oil path 102 communicated with an auxiliary equipment housing oil path and opened to a slide contact part with the slider. |
