<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that suppresses wasteful use of a recording material when manual printing is performed, without causing an increase in size of the apparatus.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an insertion port through which a sheet is inserted; a sheet conveying unit that conveys the sheet inserted through the insertion port; an image forming unit that forms an image on the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying unit with a recording material; and a control unit. The control unit executes first reception processing of receiving test instructions for conducting a test to convey the sheet inserted through the insertion port, and control processing of performing control of the sheet conveying unit and the image forming unit to limit the amount of the recording material used for the sheet conveyed by the sheet conveying unit below a predetermined amount, when receiving the test instructions in the first reception processing.</p> |
