PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a direct type surface light source device of multiple reflection diffusion method which has high front brightness and luminance, can minimize spots of brightness and luminance and further can suppress defective appearance, brightness spots and the like caused by a lens film.SOLUTION: In a direct-type surface light source device, a light diffusion laminate in which a light diffusion member 6 and a lens film 7 are laminated such that the light diffusion member 6 and the opposite surface of a lens surface of the lens film 7 are brought into contact with each other is installed on the emission light surface side of a light emission part such that the lens surface becomes the outer side. Therein, the light diffusion member 6 and the lens film 7 have following characteristics. The ratio of total light transmittance/parallel light transmittance of the light diffusion member 6 is 8 to 110 and surface glossiness of the lens film 7 is 5 to 80%.
