PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further surely avoid, in a sealing device having a double seal for sealing two sealing object spaces which are filled with sealing object fluids, the mixture of both the sealing object fluids, and to make seal rings arranged at both end face sides in the axial direction of the double seal more favorably lubricated.SOLUTION: In a double seal 1 arranged in a sealing device, one of seal lips 8 included in a first seal ring 6 which is arranged in the most proximity of a second seal ring 7 and one of seal lips 9 included in the second seal ring 7 which is arranged in the most proximity of the first seal ring 6 are arranged with an axial gap 10 therebetween; both the seal lips 8, 9 closely contact a sealing object surface 11 of a first machine element 13 which is axially reciprocated across a prescribed stroke width 12; and the axial gap 10 is formed larger than the prescribed stroke width 12 of the first machine element 13. |
