PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image diagnostic apparatus and an image processing parameter setting method, in which when a pixel portion of interest overlaps other pixel portions, automatic setting can be made to prevent the pixel portion of interest from overlapping other pixel portions and the medical image can be displayed.SOLUTION: The medical image diagnostic apparatus comprises: a storage unit 12 for storing three-dimensional image data; a computation unit 13 for applying various processes to the three-dimensional image data to create a plurality of processed images; a display unit 15 for displaying the processed images; and input unit for inputting and setting various parameter values on a processed image displayed on the display unit. The computation unit creates a projection image by using the three-dimensional image data, detects the largest peak pixel value and the second largest pixel value in a projection direction from each pixel of the displayed image, and modifies the image display to the projection direction in which the difference between the pixel values becomes the largest. |
