The present invention relates to a device for indicating a head car of railway cars and railway cars thereof and, more specifically, to a device for indicating a head of railway cars and railway cars thereof, displaying in a cabin whether a cab is occupied according to a turn-on signal of a key switch in a cab to be capable of confirming which control car among control cars positioned before or after a car of one train formation is the head car. A device for indicating the head car of the railway cars according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a head car control relay and a tail car arranged in a head car cab and a tail car cab; a first indicator installed in each car forming one train formation and connected to the head car control relay via a first line for displaying whether the head car cab is occupied; a second indicator installed in each car and connected to the tail car control relay for displaying whether the tail car cab is occupied; and a jumper line connecting the first line between the cars to the second line between the cars.
