PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disk brake for a vehicle in which brake squeak is tried to be prevented by a shim plate and which is capable of preventing the shim plate from rattling with respect to a friction pad and of preventing generation of noise and vibration.SOLUTION: A shim plate mount projection 6d is projectingly provided on a back plate 6a of a friction pad 6. An engaging hole 7d for engaging with the shim plate mount projection 6d is provided in a shim plate 7. The engaging hole 7d alternately includes holding parts 7e according to outer shape of the shim plate mount projection 6d and elastic lock parts 7f projecting beyond holding part 7e toward the shim plate mount projection. |
