摘要 The present invention relates to an electronic stability control apparatus and a method for calculating an actual vehicle speed thereby, which can avoid unnecessary operations of the electronic stability control apparatus by calculating the actual vehicle speed when a dynamic radius of a tire changes. The electronic stability control apparatus comprising a yaw rate sensor, a wheel speed sensor, and a steering angle sensor is characterized by comprising: a receiving unit receiving result values sensed by the yaw rate sensor, the wheel speed sensor, and the steering angle sensor or a tire angle sensor; a calculation unit calculating an actual vehicle speed using the received result values; and a control unit performing vehicle stability control based on the actual vehicle speed calculated by the calculation unit.
