PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous dispersion of a resin, which shows superior dispersibility as a dispersing (auxiliary) agent for a resin particle, and also shows superior viscosity characteristics when used for producing the resin particle through a dissolved resin suspension method.SOLUTION: An aqueous dispersion of a resin (C) is prepared by dispersing resin particles (B) containing a resin (A) in an aqueous medium. HLB of (A) is 5-9. A solvent solubility of (B) is 5 wt.% or less. A volume average particle diameter of (B) is 20-500 nm.
