PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device and a printer capable of decreasing a probability that a numeric value resulting in an input error is input by displaying to an operator a numeric value allowable range of an item to which the input numeric value is output in an operator's input operation.SOLUTION: A control device includes: display means for displaying a pricing screen including an input frame for displaying a numeric value input from an operator, and an item frame that serves as an output destination to which the numeric value input to the input frame is output; and control means for displaying the numeric value allowable range information for the item frame on the display means according to a predetermined operation.
