PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore the source volumes of all generations even when a backup object source volume breaks down.SOLUTION: The storage device is configured to execute: first backup processing of performing the full copy processing of a source volume 13a and differential copy processing of copying an update data block to the corresponding region of a backup volume 130; and second backup processing of performing generation-categorized backup processing of storing the pre-update data block of a data block including an update region from the previous generation in generation-categorized backup volumes 131 to 133 corresponding to the current generation in the source volume 13a. The storage device executes the differential copy processing by the first backup processing in the generation switching timing of the generation-categorized backup processing by the second backup processing. |
