PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that makes the density of toner images uniform.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: a measurement unit; a pattern formation control unit 274; and an image formation control unit 275. The measurement unit measures the amount of toner in toner images. The pattern formation control unit 274 forms a plurality of second toner images according to a plurality of patterns, when a difference in toner amount between a front end part or a center part and a rear end part of a first toner image is larger than a reference value, as a result of measurement by the measurement unit. The image formation control unit 275 forms, upon receiving a result of the measurement by the measurement unit of the amount of toner in the plurality of second toner images, a toner image on the basis of image data with a pattern corresponding to a second toner image in which a difference in toner amount between a rear end part of the second toner images and a front end part or a center part of the second toner images is the smallest. |
