A wheel assembly comprises a hub 1 having a radially outwardly extending annular flange 4 to opposite sides of which are secured, by means of a series of circwnferentially spaced studs 23 passing through holes in the flange 4, the inner peripheries 10, 15 of radial load-bearing webs 9, 14, the two webs 9, 14 each terminating in an integral tyre-seating rim portion 6, 17 respectively and being additionally secured together, as by bolts 21, adjacent said rim portions, and the studs 23 each having a collar 23a intermediate its ends engaging in a recess in one side of the flange 4. As shown, the two webs 9, 14 are each hollow, cast or forged from light alloy, and the web 9 is force-fitted on the steel hub 1 and clamped in position against the flange 4 on the side opposite that in which the recesses are formed, and both ends of the studs receive clamping nuts. This arrangement provides for detachment of the web 14 from the hub 1, on which it is a sliding fit, without disturbing the web 9. The web 9 supports the main rim base portion 6 over which fits the tyre bead seat portion 17 of the web 14.
