PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring apparatus capable of suppressing increase in storage capacity, without losing evidence capability.SOLUTION: The monitoring apparatus comprises: a detection unit 26 for detecting one or plural suspicious areas from a captured image of a monitoring area being an area to be monitored and calculating the suspicion level of the detected suspicious areas; an output parameter setting unit 27 for setting the output parameter of an image to be outputted to a storage unit 13, on the basis of the suspicion level calculated by the detection unit 26; and an output unit 29 which outputs an image of the monitoring area as a monitor image to the storage unit 13, on the basis of the output parameter set by the output parameter setting unit 27. |
