<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restore data even when a defective sector is generated in the horizontal sectors of a plurality of disk devices constituting a disk array in a disk array system for distributively recording data and horizontal parities in the plurality of disk devices.SOLUTION: A disk array control device for performing access control to a disk array consisting of a plurality of disk devices including a standby disk device by an RAID 5 includes: a restoration copy part for, when a defective sector is generated in the current disk device in the RAID 5, performing the restoration copy of the data of the defective sector to the standby disk device; and an access conversion part for, when an access request to the defective sector is made, converting the access to the defective sector into access to the corresponding sector of the standby disk device to which the restoration copy of the data of the defective sector has been performed.</p> |
