<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To extend a period to maintain a power saving state and to suppress power consumption in the power saving state.SOLUTION: A power supply time is measured from when a power source of first power supply means starts supplying power up to when a power storage amount is decreased to a predetermined value. Based on the measured power supply time, a power consumption amount of a power source supplied from second power supply means to a control unit, and a target power amount, a power supply time is calculated in which power is supplied from the second power supply means to the control unit after a power storage amount of a second battery is decreased to the predetermined value. After the power storage amount is decreased to the predetermined value, the power source is switched from the first power supply means to the second power supply means. When the calculated supply time elapses after starting power supply from the second power supply means, an image formation device is returned from a power saving state to a normal state in which image formation can be performed.</p> |
