PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cool a welded member without using water and inert gas in spot welding that is a type of resistance welding.SOLUTION: If a plurality of members are to be welded by spot welding, then a ring member is mounted or installed in a portion in which an upper member or one of the members is to be spot welded, cooling liquid is put into the ring member, one of electrodes is inserted into and attached to an interior of the ring member and the other electrode is attached to a lower side of a lower member or the other member to apply current to the members, and the members are welded. After welding, welded portions are cooled by causing the cooling liquid to absorb heat of the welded portions or the members near the welded portions. |
