The stabiliser 2 includes a body 8 and a gambrel support member 9 configured to engage with a gambrel to restrict the orientation and freedom of movement of the gambrel. The gambrel stabiliser 2 is attached to the gambrel stabiliser conveyor 4 such that the gambrel stabiliser 2 is conveyed about the endless path.
