A method for protection of temporary roadway includes arrangement of cavities in the roof as wells with lengths not smaller than the power of rocks of the roof itself and not smaller than 30 % of the power of coal seam. To each well cutting element is supplied, then the container with non-explosive destructive material with length 5-10 % of the power of rocks of main roof. Between the earth and the container with non-explosive destructive material a rigid anchor prop is installed. Following motion of the sections of mechanized support protection belt is arranged. Breakage of the rock console over the protection belt at the boundary with worked out space is provided, this makes it possible to decrease pressure on the protection belt and to increase stability of development working that is protected.
