A method for assessing the expression of the pain reaction of the person comprises the measurement of the pain threshold with tensoalgometer (the sensor component of the pain reaction). The bioelectric activity of the superciliary corrugator muscle (m. corrugator supercilii) at the functional rest and upon pain stimulation is measured. The pain stimulation is provided with tensoalgometer by compression of the auriculotemporal nerve close to the neck of the articular process of the mandible. The pain threshold (the sensor component of the pain reaction) is recorded with tensoalgometer. In myogram, the amplitude of m. corrugator supercilii is recorded (psychomotor component of the pain reaction). |
