Provided is a sensing apparatus including a sensor unit having a sensor outputting an electric signal according to a physical quantity of an object to be inspected, of which a physical quantity-output curve indicating a relationship between an output quantity and the physical quantity of the object to be inspected has at least two nonlinear portions; a storage unit which divides the physical quantity-output curve into at least three sub-regions, and stores the regression equations for every sub-region which are generated by regression analysis using a least square method; and a physical quantity calculating unit which calculates the physical quantity of the object to be inspected from the output quantity of the sensor by the regression equations for every sub-region stored in the storage unit, wherein the regression equations for every sub-region are respectively represented by equation 1. It is possible to reduce an error occurring when the physical quantity of the object to be inspected is measured by the sensor. |
