Disclosed is a micro-carrier suitable for delivering a drug to a live biological system comprising: (a) a micro-container containing the drug to be delivered; (b) a sensor that is integrated to the micro-carrier and capable of scanning a general area in the live biological system detecting at least one property of the general area at a microscopic level, collecting data thereof which is then processed to determine a targeted site for selectively attaching the micro-carrier to the targeted site for drug release; or, alternatively, a material that is capable of absorbing or adsorbing the micro-carrier to a surface of a targeted site for drug release; and (c) an injector attached to the micro-container for delivering the drug from the micro-container to the targeted site. |
