609719, Disclosed herein is a liquid composition comprising:, a pharmaceutically active compound having the formula (I) or salt thereof or a compound of formula (II), with the proviso the compound is not carbetocin, and an anti-oxidant, such as methionine, EDTA, or a combination thereof, wherein the pH of the composition is from 5.0 to 6.0; and the use thereof in treatment of uterine atony, for example following vaginal delivery of the infant, delivery of the infant by Caesarean section, or for use in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prevention of uterine atony in a patient who is at risk of developing PPH; and/or for use in the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment or prevention of excessive bleeding following vaginal delivery. Additionally disclosed is the composition further comprising: a buffering agent, or a buffer, such as citrate/phosphate buffer, and an isotonicity agent, such as NaCl. |
