Paper finishing process

Disclosed is a process for applying a finishing paper material (3) on a leather or fabric support material (2). The disclosure notes that current processes for applying a finishing paper result in the paper wrinkling or getting damaged thus affecting the aesthetics of the final product. The process comprises a first buttering of glue (4) on a surface (2a) of the support material (2). The finishing material (3) is positioned on the support material (2). The finishing material (3) and support material (2) are ironed and perched. After the steps of ironing and perching, a second buttering of glue (4) is applied. The process is completed with a finishing step.
