Provided in the present invention is a chemical toner which can provide excellent electrificating properties, can be manufactured into a shape equivalent to a sphere with a high productivity by suppressing the generation of heteromorphic particles to the utmost, and can provide excellent luster for a printed matter. To be specific, the manufacturing method for the toner consecutively comprises as follows: (i) a process of manufacturing a resin solution or resin dispersed liquid by dissolving a polyester resin, having a sulfonic acid metal group in a resin structure, in an organic solvent; (ii) a process of manufacturing suspension where particles in the resin solution or the resin dispersed liquid are suspended in an aqueous medium, by mixing the resin solution with an aqueous medium; (iii) a process of forming a united body of the particles by adding electrolyte at a temperature below 30°C; (iv) a process of removing the organic solvent of the united body; and (v) a process of separating the united body from the aqueous medium and drying. |
