The present invention relates to a black box for vehicles, and, more specifically, to an apparatus and a method for the notification of a black box recording event which notifies a driver of a vehicle of the existence of a new recorded image in a black box if there is the image recorded through a photographing event such as motion detection and impact detection when the vehicle is parked without an occupant. According to the present invention, if there is newly recorded image data which is recorded through the photographing event occurred while the vehicle is parked and unoccupied, the existence of the photographing event is notified to a vehicle user when the vehicle user rides in the vehicle. Thus, the vehicle user may check the newly recorded image immediately. |
