METHOD FOR DECONTAMINATING INFECTED MATERIALS

A method for decontaminating the infected materials comprises collecting the infected materials soaked with sensitizer solution into the reusable polymeric containers. The containers are tightly covered with lids and placed into the chamber for microwave irradiation with alternating isothermal incubation of the waste. Following the last cycle of heating – isothermal incubation, the decontaminated materials are treated as non-dangerous waste. At the beginning of the microwave irradiation, the bottom of each container is heated for a short time until 60 ºC.
