PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase projector brightness.SOLUTION: A projector color wheel 1 includes a wheel body 20 and a wavelength conversion layer 10. The wheel body 20 has first and second main surfaces 20a and 20b. The wavelength conversion layer 10 is ring-shaped and is provided on the first main surface 20a or inside the wheel body 20. The wavelength conversion layer 10 contains a phosphor. In plane view, a waveguide 20c extending from the first main surface 20a side toward the second main surface 20b side is provided in a region of the wheel body 20 where the wavelength conversion layer 10 is located.
